#10 Max Charlot    Safety    6 feet 190 lbs.    Santiago (Sharks) High School    Corona, CA

Max Charlot played high school baseball until his Sophomore year. In football he played as a an outside linebacker until his Senior year. Though he had the attributes for a safety, Santiago used a 3-5 defense scheme last year and had Tony Dye, who was ranked No. 9 nationally at cornerback by scout.com and had already accepted a scholarship offer from UCLA, as the lone safety with Ryan Berry (Senior) as his backup. 

Max transitioned well from the linebacker position as a Senior and in his first season as a Strong Safety, he led the team with an averaged of 9.8 tackles per game, successfully made 2 interceptions, and a fumble recovery. During his involvement with the team Max never missed a game, led the team in cycle testing, and he was a member of the Shark s’ Leadership Team. As a member of the football team, maintained a 3.1 GPA; in addition, he earned a score of 1470 on his SAT’s.

Selected to the All Big VIII League 2008 Football Team 1st Team as a DB.
